A lot of next of kin consent to the organ removal.
They are disappointed in their hopes that good may come out of this tragedy because of organ donation.
A severe trauma is often the consequence:
- a feeling of deep guilt that they left their loved one in the hour of death
- horror when they gather information about the process of organ removal
- rage that in the hour of need they are held responsible for the death of others
All these facts are concealed from the public.
That's why we are informing you about our bitter experience: We agreed to the organ removal of our children without being informed about the process of organ procurement and the consequences for our children's dying process.
